Many of our customers have likely noticed that it is very difficult to get a time slot for a private screening. First we would like to thank everyone who has continued to watch movies at the theater during this difficult time. While private screenings have allowed us to keep the lights on, we think it is time to begin the transition toward playing movies at Crown City Cinemas on a regular schedule with general admission (of course with limited capacity in the theaters to ensure everyone can social distance).

Due to high demand for our new movies and the increase in requests for shows we will be opening Friday evenings (beginning March 12th) for general admission showings. This means that starting March 12th every Friday (and only on Fridays) we will have public general admission showings available. Everyone will be in the theater together but given space to spread out as per NYS 25% capacity guidelines.

We are planning to offer online ticket purchases via our website soon. Once that feature is enabled we will make an announcement.

We recommend signing up for our email list and keeping an eye on the website / Facebook page. We know that there may be some challenges during this transition and we thank you for supporting your local movie theater.
